Firefighter Joe Duval, was born in Hartford, CT, and has lived and worked in Tolland, CT, his entire life. This web page is to honor him. He is currently serving as an Army Specialist in the Connecticut Army National Guard Bravo Company 1/102nd Infantry at Fort Bragg in North Carolina for eight weeks before going overseas to defend our country in Afghanistan. Joe has always been dedicated to the safety of the Town of Tolland. He was a member of the Tolland Explorer Post as a young teenager for a few years before becoming a member of the Tolland Fire Department in 1986. He has been a Public Safety Officer for the Town of Tolland since 1993. He has not only responded to Fire and EMS calls over the past twenty years, but also taught B.A.T. (Basic Aid Training) at Parker Memorial School. His love of firefighting has been apparent over the years. Never has his love for the brotherhood been so strong than on September 11, 2001. On that tragic day in America's history, he lost many of his fellow firefigther brothers in the tragedies at the World Trade Center. In May 2003, Joe joined the Army to defend our country. He is and always will be a Firefighter, but also an American Soldier who will serve our town and country proud.
